Careem

A Dubai-based super app and socially responsible corporation that regularly supports community-based development initiatives. Established in 2012, initially as a ride-hailing app, Careem now operates in more than 100 cities in 12 countries, offering services including ride-hailing, food delivery, and bill payments. In January 2020, Careem's ride-hailing business was acquired by Uber for US$3.1 billion. Since its inception, Careem has worked with more than 30 different charity and development partners, supporting a range of projects. Through company donations and fundraising, Careem has contributed more than US$3.7 million in three years alone to support development, humanitarian, and empowerment initiatives in 10 markets.
