Al Muhaidib Social Foundation

A foundation based in Saudi Arabia that focusses on early childhood development, education, shelter, and children with disabilities. The foundation, set up by the Al Muhaidib Group conglomerate, also has a centre for children with Down syndrome, provides supports for Muslim people going on pilgrimages, funds humanitarian relief efforts, and helps vulnerable groups across Saudi Arabia.

Programmes

  • "Samtan" show

    The foundation sponsored the production of a television show from 2014 to 2015 to highlight social issues affecting the Arab world through non-verbal skits. 

  • Al Taibeen Diwaniyah
    A gathering place for the elderly residents of the Social Welfare Home in Damman.
  • CSR programmes
    In cooperation with Al Muhaidib Group, the foundation launched corporate social responsibility programmes to support employees and the community through volunteer activities. One of the programmes is the Personnel Fund, which aims to support employees in times of need, be it for health, education, or emergency purposes. Other activities include blood donation campaigns and CPR and first aid training.
  • Etaam Society
    The foundation helped establish Etaam Society to help reduce food waste and establish a number of food banks across the country.
  • Hiba Down Syndrome Centre
    Considered one of the largest projects in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia, Hiba is also the first comprehensive and specialised centre in the education and rehabilitation of children with Down syndrome in the area. It provides educational, training, and rehabilitation programmes.
  • Housing projects

    The foundation funded the construction and restoration of several housing and shelter projects for low-income families in Saudi Arabia.

  • Playing Together
    A series of model parks that bring together children with special needs with other children through play. The objective of the park is to socially integrate children of all backgrounds and abilities to foster an environment of empathy, healthy communication, and cognitive development.
  • Umrah Al Alam
    A programme supporting Muslim pilgrims to visit Makkah and perform Umrah.
