Taawon Welfare Association
Taawon is a nonprofit established in Geneva in 1983 by Palestinian and Arab economists to support Palestinians with development and relief programmes. It is one of the largest organisations operating in Palestine and Lebanon and supports more than one million Palestinians each year.

Programmes
Jerusalem programme for old cities revitalisation
This Taawon programme supports activities such as the restoration and rehabilitation of historic buildings, stone walls, and water channels in Palestine.
Taawon community development programme
Through this programme, Taawon helps provide basic humanitarian and emergency aid to people in the West Bank, Gaza, and Lebanon. It also helps rebuild and renovate homes that have been damaged in Palestine and Lebanon, and provide funding to local NGOs for economic development programmes supporting education, entrepreneurship, and employment.
Taawon culture programme
Through its culture programme, Taawon seeks to help preserve and share Palestinian culture and heritage around the world, and utilising it for human cultural dialogues. To do this, Taawon provides support for cultural civil society organisations, funds theatrical performances, film screenings, and art exhibitions, and helps sponsor worshops for youth that are focussed on art, culture, music, and drama.
Taawon education programme
Through its education programme, Taawon invests in educational systems in Palestine and Lebanon to ensure access to quality education for Palestinian children and teachers, with a great focus on utilising technology and innovation as key teaching methods.
